At SSP America, our Servers are one of our most important customer service roles. Here are a few things you can expect when you join our team as a Server:
\n\n
Answer questions and offer suggestions regarding food, beverages, and services of the facility
\nAccurately input orders into the POS system
\nPrepare dishes for service, to include ladling soup, tossing salads, cutting portions of pie and desserts, and brewing coffee
\nObserve guests to anticipate their needs and respond to any additional requests
\nClear all dishes away from table
\nBalance and reconcile all assigned open and closed checks by totaling bills and accepting payments
\nClear and reset all counters or tables at the conclusion of each course
\n Other duties as assigned
\n
The ideal candidate for this position has:
\n\n
1 Year Experience in Restaurant Serving
\nHigh school diploma preferred
\nVerbal and written communication
\nAbility to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders
\nExperience in dealing with problems involving customer service
\nBasic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, etc.
\nFood handlers permit, as required by law
\nBrand certification, as required
\nAbility to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items
\nAbility to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check an order & close out a check
\nAbility to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time
